Australian Apprenticeships

Health Industry Training Queensland is working in partnership with Australian Apprenticeship Centres to increase the awareness of FREE training available to existing staff through the Australian Apprenticeships scheme and to encourage employers to utilise the range of benefits available through Australian Apprenticeships.  An incentive of a minimum of $4,000 is provided to employers for each employee who signs up for training through the Australian Apprenticeships Scheme.

Providing training for your existing staff can be the best way to combine training and employment and can lead to a nationally recognised qualification for your employee while providing you with staff who are trained to your business requirements.

The following accredited qualifications are currently available through HITQ and funded through the Australian Apprenticeships scheme:

  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • Certificate III in Health Support Services
  • Certification III in Health Administration
  • Certificate IV in Health Administration
  • Certificate IV in Health Supervision
  • Certificate IV in Disability
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Work
  • Diploma of Practice Management

The training will be conducted by HITQ professional trainers who have many years experience in their field of excellence.  An agreement between the employer, trainee and HITQ will ensure the training is provided at a suitable time to both the employer and employee and will not impede on the business environment.

To find out more or to sign up an employee for training please do not hesitate to contact Karyn Calcino, Manager,  Health Industry Training Queensland.
